Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh was warmly received in Moscow by Ambassador Vinay Kumar and Russian Deputy Minister of Defence Alexander Fomin, marking the commencement of a pivotal visit aimed at strengthening the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.

During his stay, Shri Rajnath Singh will call on Russian President Vladimir Putin, underscoring the significance of bilateral ties between the two nations. He will also co-chair the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military-Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) alongside his Russian counterpart, Defence Minister Andrei Belousov. The commission’s meeting is expected to further consolidate defence collaboration, with a focus on joint initiatives and advanced technological partnerships.

A key highlight of the visit will be Shri Rajnath Singh’s participation in the commissioning ceremony of INS Tushil, an event symbolising the enduring commitment to defence cooperation between the two nations.
