A significant milestone in Eurasian transport cooperation was marked at the 33rd plenary session of the International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT). The event brought together leading logistics experts, government agencies, and port authorities from Russia, India, and across Asia and Europe to advance the region’s transport infrastructure.
Key Russian representatives included the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Mumbai, Ivan Fetisov, and Igor Ten, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India and Representative of the Russian Federal Customs Service in India. Both officials delivered compelling speeches emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts to strengthen the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), a vital initiative for boosting trade connectivity across the Eurasian continent.

Strategic Discussions on Multimodal Connectivity
Chaired by the CCTT Secretariat in collaboration with the Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in India (FFFAI), the plenary session underscored the critical role of the INSTC in enhancing multimodal logistics between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Participants reviewed progress in transport infrastructure development, identified emerging challenges, and discussed strategies for sustainable growth in transcontinental freight traffic.
The forum also showcased innovative solutions for simplifying customs procedures and integrating digital technologies to streamline cargo movement, fostering more seamless trade routes.
