The latest autumn tourism offerings of St. Petersburg will be on display at the international exhibition Business + Leisure Travel and MICE (BLTM) in India from August 29 to 31, as announced by the press service of the St. Petersburg city administration.
According to the St. Petersburg Turbobarometer, India has emerged as the fourth largest source of non-CIS tourists to the city in 2023. The administration noted that the tourist flow from BRICS countries, including India, presents considerable growth opportunities. During the exhibition, the St. Petersburg delegation will engage in business meetings and showcase performances by classical musicians, aimed at attracting attention to both new and traditional tourist offerings in the city.
The report highlights that Indian tourists are particularly interested in the event and business potential of St. Petersburg, along with the unique opportunities for hosting wedding celebrations in Russia’s northern capital. The BLTM exhibition is anticipated to feature more than 600 exhibitors from 20 countries in 2024, offering a diverse platform for international tourism promotion.
