DELHI: NSUI Celebrates 54th Foundation Day at Headquarters

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) marked a momentous occasion as it celebrated its 54th Foundation Day at the headquarters in New Delhi. This celebration coincided with a pivotal National Office Bearers meeting held on April 9th, 2024, during which NSUI passed resolutions aimed at addressing critical student welfare issues and unveiling significant initiatives.

The first resolution, “NSUI Support Fund,” addresses recent debits from the Income Tax office on NSUI membership funds. NSUI will now directly collect funds from students to continue supporting them and their initiatives seamlessly.

In a groundbreaking move, NSUI announced “NSUI Overseas,” a vital initiative aimed at assisting Indian students pursuing higher education abroad. NSUI Overseas will provide essential services like academic guidance, career counseling, and advocacy for the rights and interests of Indian students abroad.

NSUI National President Shri. Varun Choudhary ji emphasized their commitment to scrapping the agnipath scheme and offering fixed army jobs to 1.5 lakh aspirants, prioritizing youth service to the nation.

MP Ajay Maken, in a statement, expressed his pride, saying, “I am very proud that I started my political journey from NSUI.”

NSUI National Incharge Shri. Kanhaiya Kumar Ji encouraged NSUI members, stating, “You all are the future leaders of the Congress Party. This is a crucial time for our nation, and I urge you to give your best in fighting for the rights of students.”
