India hosts International Film Festival Short Film Days

The International Film Festival “Short Film Days” was held at the Russian House in Chennai. The event was attended by 300 students from 9 colleges. This year, for the first time, the programme featured short films made by Indian directors and student filmmakers.

 

The screening included the Russian films “Give a Way” and AI-created “Devil’s Beauty”, as well as the Indian films “The Good is Bad to the Bad”, “Shades of Kadhal”, and “Pethava”, among others.

 

The event was attended by students from leading educational institutions in Chennai, such as Anna University, Government College of Fine Arts, Loyola College, Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute, and others. The guests of honour at the event were director Prathap Baskaradass, film actress Anusha Prabhu, theatre actor Shakthi Ramani, and theatre artist Tamilarasi.

 

The event was followed by an interactive session with students and performances by leading actors and directors. The participants of the festival discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the film industry and its impact on art.

 

The International Film Festival “Short Film Days” at the Russian House in Chennai promotes cross-cultural collaboration and provides a platform for young filmmakers to showcase their work as well as to interact with industry experts.
