In its latest report, the The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said that from July 2023 to March 2024, Egypt’s total foreign trade reached US$77.039 billion, of which imports were about US$52.920 billion and exports US$24.119 billion. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
During this period, the United Arab Emirates topped the list of Egypt’s trading partners with a trade exchange volume of US$6.998 billion, where imports reached US$4.310 billion and exports reached US$2.687 billion.
Saudi Arabia ranked second among Egypt’s trading partners by the end of the first quarter of 2024, with a trade volume of US$5.209 billion. This figure includes US$3.871 billion in imports and US$1.338 billion in exports. China ranked fourth with a trade volume of US$5.077 billion, comprising US$4.658 billion in imports and US$418.6 million in exports.
Russia’s trade turnover with Egypt reached US$1.967 billion. In the first nine months of the 2023/24 fiscal year, Brazil ranked 11th among Egypt’s trading partners with a total trade volume of US$1.933 billion, followed by India with US$1.901 billion.
