The UAE’s Liwa Date Festival marks the date harvest season, which is an integral part of the country’s heritage and is a group of heritage competitions. Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS, reported that the festival will be held in Abu Dhabi from July 15 to 28, 2024.
The Festival is part of activities organised by the Abu Dhabi government as part of its plans to strengthen the emirate’s position as the incubation capital of heritage festivals and cultural programmes, which play an important role in preserving heritage and passing it on from generation to generation. The annual festival brings together factory owners, companies, and investment institutions from public and private agencies related to agriculture.
One of the main objectives of the festival will be to educate farmers on modern agriculture and to support local farms in improving the quality of their produce.
