Lula da Silva believes that CELAC countries can become centre of global diplomacy through G20 and BRICS summits

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and others attended the event.

One of the key points raised at the summit was the need to strengthen regional integration. In his speech, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva emphasised the importance of uniting Latin American and Caribbean countries in a multipolar world. Lula stressed that the region has the potential to become a centre of gravity in global diplomacy, especially by hosting important international summits such as the G20, Apec, BRICS and COP 30. Regional unity, the president said, allows countries to influence international discussions and strengthen their own development projects. This is reported by Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.

Another central theme of the summit was finding solutions to common problems such as food security and poverty eradication. Lula emphasised the urgent need to promote sustainable development in the region. The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States was created in 2010 to better integrate Latin American countries.
