On 1 February the Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow there will be opened an exhibition “BRICS Universe”. It will present photographs of UNESCO cultural heritage sites in the BRICS member states. The images were taken by Russian cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Ivan Vagner. They captured various geographical locations on Earth from the International Space Station (ISS). The exhibition will also feature works by other photographers. As part of the “Send Space Greetings” campaign visitors of the museum will be able to send a free letter to any city in the country with photos of the Earth taken by the cosmonauts.
The Museum of Cosmonautics at VDNKh will be the first place where the exhibition will take place. Later it will be organised in other Russian cities and other countries: in Brazil, India, China, South Africa, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia. The organisers of the exhibition also said that meetings with the cosmonauts who took part in the creation of the project would be held in these countries.
The exhibition will work in the Russian capital until 10 March 2024, as reported by the official website of the Moscow government.
