More than 700 universities in the Russian Federation opened their doors to young Chileans to pursue careers in various fields of study as part of the first large-scale educational fair held by the Eurasian giant in Latin America. This is reported by Cronica Digital, a partner of TV BRICS. The event, entitled “Higher Education in Russia: Education Without Borders”, was free of charge and allowed attendees to interact with representatives of leading Russian universities and learn about the best educational programmes, as well as details about student life in Russia and employment opportunities in the country.
During the fair, there were workshops for applicants, Russian language classes taught by a specialised linguist, and an online conversation with a cosmonaut, the only woman on active duty in the Russian Federation. In addition, information was provided on scholarships, academic mobility programmes and exchanges.
The young Chileans had the opportunity to explore more than 650 educational programmes, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, offered in Russian and English, with the participation of renowned institutions such as Moscow State University (MSU), St. Petersburg State University (SPbU), and the Higher School of Economics (HSE). They were also able to find out about the requirements for applying for the completely free scholarships available.
