The Brazilian Embassy in Russia hosted a concert in honour of Brazil’s National Day. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov was the guest of honour.

According to him, the Russian leadership values the level of mutual understanding between Moscow and Brasilia, including in light of the countries’ cross presidencies in BRICS and the G20 this year.

The Deputy Minister congratulated the Brazilian people on the Independence Day of the Republic. He noted that modern Brazil is an amazing country, which has a huge human, economic and creative potential.Brazilian Ambassador to Russia Rodrigo de Lima Baena Soares said in an exclusive commentary on TV BRICS that the republic’s authorities attach great importance to cultural events such as the concert held in Moscow.

Brazil celebrated the 202nd anniversary of its independence on 7 September. The country declared independence from Portugal in 1822.
