Venezuela to build science university that will utilise BRICS technologies

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro announced that a scientific university is being built in the country. It will utilise the technologies of the BRICS countries.

In this regard, he explained that his government is coordinating the arrival of scientists and professors from China, Russia, Iran and India to teach at the University of Sciences “Dr. Humberto Fernandez Moran”.
Maduro announced that the university will have a capacity for 300 students, offering 15 degree programmes focused on the country’s development engines. This is reported by teleSUR, a partner of TV BRICS.

 

Among the specialisations are degrees in Atomic Energy, Oceanology, Biotechnology, Computational Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Chemistry, Philosophy, Chemistry, Petrochemistry, Mathematics and Physics. In addition, engineering degrees will be offered in Electromedicine, Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology and Cybersecurity.
