Strengthening India-Russia Ties in Emergency Management: A New Era of Cooperation

The Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai, successfully co-chaired the 2nd Meeting of the India-Russia Joint Commission on Cooperation in the Field of Emergency Management, held in Moscow. This significant event marks a milestone in the ongoing partnership between India and Russia, underpinned by the signing of a comprehensive working plan of cooperation for the period 2025-26.

 

 

 

During the meeting, both sides engaged in productive discussions, focusing on the exchange of best practices in disaster management. Key areas of collaboration include the training of fire and rescue specialists and the utilisation of advanced space monitoring technologies for risk forecasting and emergency response.
