The strategy, developed in cooperation with the International Labour Organization, includes measures to create jobs both inside and outside the country, said Egypt’s Labour Minister Mohamed Gobran.
“Our goal is to develop the necessary skills for current jobs and to anticipate future job requirements. We aim to link economic growth with the ability to create new job opportunities,” he stated.
The minister stressed the importance of cooperation between Egyptian communities abroad and representatives of the Ministry of Labour to provide job opportunities for young Egyptians abroad. The Ministry of Labour is also working to improve its offices abroad, continuing to provide support and protection to Egyptian workers abroad. In addition, the minister added that the ministry is stepping up efforts to train skilled workers with internationally recognised certificates.
