Ajman, one of the UAE’s seven emirates, has seen impressive tourism growth in the first quarter of 2024, with tourist arrivals increasing by a further nine per cent, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a top tourist destination.
This growth is attributed to the emirate’s strategic economic diversification plan, which places a strong emphasis on the tourism sector, and is set to grow by 29 per cent year-on-year by 2023. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
In response to the significant growth in tourism, Ajman has launched a new holiday homes sector.
The introduction of the holiday homes sector is expected to not only boost tourism activity, but also contribute significantly to the emirate’s economic growth by creating new jobs and stimulating related sectors of the economy.
In this regard, Ajman’s Tourism Development Department has established a comprehensive regulatory framework for the holiday home sector to ensure a high quality service for visitors and owners, with a simplified electronic registration process, stringent inspections, transparent electronic issuance of permits and a commitment to regulatory compliance.
