The Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) inaugurated its own state-of-the-art media complex on Tuesday, 30 January, in the presence of senior government officials. It is equipped with the latest technical equipment and has three television and four radio studios.
The media complex also includes several offices, conference rooms, a library, a recreation centre and a modern sports hall. This is reported by ENA.
ENA, the country’s oldest media company, has served as the country’s primary source of news for more than 80 years. The agency distributes text, documentaries and television programmes to media outlets operating in Ethiopia to fulfil its mission of building national consensus and promoting the image of the state.
The company is preparing to open branches in Kenya and Djibouti to expand its services in the East African region.
