On 16 January at 11:00 TV BRICS broadcasts the premiere of the documentary “The Golden Coast of the Arctic” about the development of the mining industry.
Two hundred kilometres from Pevek, Russia’s northernmost city, lies Mayskoye, one of the largest gold deposits in the world. Many years ago people from the Big Earth came to the Golden Coast of the Arctic to find solutions to non-trivial problems in harsh climatic and geological conditions Their aim was to achieve something that is difficult for an ordinary person to imagine even in theory.
TV BRICS special project is about new technologies that make hard work in the Far North easier and safer, and about life in this territory.
“Viewers of TV BRICS in Russia and abroad will be able to see Chukotka as it has shown itself to us: mysterious, mystical, ecological, technological, in general – very different. But equally interesting for everyone who will watch this film. Special thanks to its heroes – those who once lived on the Golden Coast of the Arctic and those who live there today: thanks to these people we managed to convey the connection between the past and the present,” she added.
This is the fourth special project on the mining industry for TV BRICS. Earlier, the international media network presented the films “Gold”, “More Precious than Gold” and “Magadan Silver” to the audience.
