Egypt prioritises human capital development

Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, stressed the key role of human capital development for economic growth and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to this key sector. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

 

Speaking at a panel discussion on population and human capital development at the Global Conference on Health, Population and Human Development, Al-Mashat noted that economic development is impossible without human development. The event discussed the government’s new strategy in this area.

 

The minister underlined the significant investments in human development, representing 42 per cent of government investments, with a major focus on education and health.

 

She also highlighted international cooperation projects valued at US$7 billion to support this sector.
