The 45th Inter-Parliamentary General Assembly (AIPA) of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) concludes in Laos with the adoption of more than 30 resolutions aimed at strengthening regional collaboration.
The central theme of the meeting was “The Role of Parliaments in Enhancing Connectivity and Inclusive Growth of ASEAN”, bringing together some 500 participants, including legislators from the group, observers and development partners.
On the final day, draft resolutions from committees on political, economic, and social issues are scheduled to be approved, as reported by to Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.
In addition, the Economic Committee passed resolutions to promote responsible investments in agriculture, food and forestry, as well as the promotion of regional infrastructure connectivity.
