Ethiopia attracts Iranian investors to develop industrial parks

Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) CEO, Fisseha Yitagesu, held the meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Ethiopia, Ali Akbar. They discussed opportunities to strengthen long-term relations through investments.

 

Iranian Ambassador to Ethiopia Ali Akbar has announced plans to attract investors in industrial parks specialising in agro-processing and car manufacturing. Fisseha noted that the two countries’ membership in BRICS will be the basis for further investment co-operation. This is reported by ENA, a partner of TV BRICS. In addition, the Fisseha emphasised the importance of joint preparation of the Ethiopian-Iranian Investment Forum.

 

Ambassador Ali Akbar noted that Ethiopia’s development results, especially in the energy sector, have created a favourable environment for investment, stressing that he will encourage Iranian investors to invest in the aforementioned fields.
