According to Moslem Shojai, who presides over the ministry’s foreign tourism marketing and development office, the roadshow will be held from 5 to 10 September and will be a logical extension of the successful events held in South East Asian countries. The initiative will cover the three major Indian cities of Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
This five-day roadshow will be a follow-up to the events held from 29 June to 6 July in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. Shojai noted that the countries for the roadshow were chosen carefully after long consultations.
The organisers announced that future roadshows will also be held in neighbouring Arab countries and Russia. The event is part of Iran’s efforts to develop its tourism sector following visa-free travel agreements with a number of countries, including India.
