Ethiopia’s Foreign Ministry hosted the third meeting of the technical committee of representatives of the country’s leadership to discuss the strategy of interaction with BRICS. This is reported by ENA. The committee members representing government agencies assessed ways for Ethiopia to participate in the BRICS agenda. The meeting discussed accelerating the country’s integration into the association’s projects in line with its interests.
Joining BRICS, the online publication noted, reflects Ethiopia’s determination to realise its economic potential, work to accelerate GDP growth and strengthen multilateralism.
Ethiopia, one of Africa’s largest countries, has always taken an active stance in international relations and pursued economic development. On 1 January 2024, the country officially joined BRICS.
