The development of Russian scientists is intended for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by antibiotic-resistant microorganisms.

Studies have shown a favourable safety profile as well as high efficacy of the drug. The medicine should help in cases of antimicrobial resistance. Resistance to antimicrobial drugs is a biological phenomenon that occurs when microbes, such as bacteria and fungi, acquire the ability to defeat drugs designed to kill them. This is reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.

According to the Ministry of Health, the drug is intended for the treatment of bacterial infections and is effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae.
