Egypt considers government initiatives on social support

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Public Enterprises Sector Mahmoud Esmat to discuss the progress of the government’s social support package. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.

The dignitaries discussed projects in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, tourism, textiles, construction, chemicals and electric vehicles. The developments are expected to help meet domestic demand and boost exports, which is in line with the government’s strategy to strengthen national industries and increase self-sufficiency in domestic goods.

Current projects, the availability of necessary resources for production and the status of public-private partnership ventures were also discussed.

In addition, President Al-Sisi instructed the government to continue working to improve the efficiency of state-owned companies and factories, stressing the importance of continuous training and upgrading the skills of the workforce.

The President also emphasised the need to improve marketing strategies to increase sales and exports in the domestic market. President Al-Sisi favoured strengthening partnerships with the private sector, noting their importance in moving country towards sustainable progress and development.
