Russia increased oil and gas revenues by 1.6 times in January 2024 compared to the same month last year, the Russian Finance Ministry said.
In particular, the country received up to US$7.4 billion compared to US$4,6 billion for the same period in 2023. This is reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.
According to the Finance Ministry, the tax on oil and gas condensate production and exports in 2023 brought about US$8.45 billion to the budget, 1.88 times more than a year earlier.
Similarly, the tax on gas production and export brought Russia 1.5 times more funds: in January 2024 they totalled US$1,8 billion.
