During the plenary session of the conference “Artificial Intelligence Journey 2024”, Vladimir Putin, Russian President, announced the start of the BRICS Alliance for the development of AI. This is reported by the official website of the Russian President.

According to the head of state, the new format of interaction will give a serious impetus to cooperation between the countries of the association and other interested states in the field of information technology. He also noted the demand for Russia’s experience in the development and practical application of artificial intelligence in the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America.

“Our partners from the CIS, EAEU, SCO, BRICS, and other associations are forming promising sectors of the economy, introducing innovations. Russia certainly shares and supports their common aspiration for development, and domestic companies intend to continue creating products and services based on artificial intelligence for themselves and for the whole world,” the President said.

Artificial Intelligence Journey 2024, an international conference on artificial intelligence and machine learning, took place in Moscow from 11 to 13 December. The event brought together developers, experts and representatives of the business community from India, Indonesia, China, UAE, Russia, and other countries of the global South. According to the President of the Russian Federation, the conference has become one of the most authoritative and expected international events in the field of information technology.
