Iran proposes establishing scientific and cultural student union for Islamic nations

Iranian Minister of Education, Alireza Kazemi, has put forward a proposal for scientific and cultural student union among Islamic countries, aiming to strengthen educational collaboration across the Muslim world. Kazemi made this proposal during discussions with Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO), reports IRNA, a partner of TV BRICS.

In his proposal, Kazemi advocated for Islamic countries to hold their own scientific student olympiads, with the goal of fostering cooperation and academic excellence throughout the Islamic community. He also called for the establishment of a framework to recognise the “Teacher of the Year” in the Islamic world as a part of a broader effort to promote educational development in the region.

Kazemi took the opportunity to invite the ICESCO Director General to visit Iran to observe the nation’s advancements in education firsthand. Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik expressed optimism and hope that he would soon visit Iran.
